Tropical Cyclone Jenna
South Indian Ocean
Tropical Cyclone 12S (Jenna) has rapidly intensified over the preceding 24 hours, reaching an initial intensity of 90 knots. The system was located 243 nautical miles south-southwest of the Cocos Islands and moving southwestward at 8 knots, with significant wave heights of 28 feet. Current forecast shows Jenna will maintain or slightly weaken in intensity over the next 12 hours before rapidly weakening thereafter due to increasing shear and dry air entrainment.
