TS Bebinca to Intensify Rapidly
Tropical Storm Bebinca is located SSW of Iwo To and is moving north at 16 kt with max winds to 60 kt and significant wave heights to 8.5 meters, about 28 feet.
Bebinca is forecast to turn more towards the NW and eventually WNW. Rapid intensification is possible as the storm passes north of Okinawa in about 72 hr with a peak wind speed of 100-110 kts and max significant wave heights of 10-11 meters (33-36 ft). Landfall is expected near Shanghai about 1800 UTC on the 15th.
